I didn't realize so many things were going with Cory Booker, especially with working with the Hendrick Martin Institute in NYC for LGBT youth in Newark, and being on Late Night with Conan O'Brien. I've heard people compare his political upbringing to Barack Obama. I've never met him (and don't follow his career, but I do follow him on twitter) but he seems to be doing alright for my hometown so far.

I'll bet he's happy Bill Thompson didn't win, now he's still the most prominent black politician in the area. How about he prove he's not using Newark as a stepping stone for governor and get rid of the goddamn garbage incinerator that's gonna keep giving me and my family lung cancer.
